In May of 2017 Montana Tech College in Butte, Montana purchased 9 of my small abstract square series relief sculptures to create a larger a grid installation in the college’s new Natural Resources Center building. The square reliefs are stylistically related so they hang well together, however all were done at different times and are individually titled so the grid arrangement doesn’t present a single theme or title.  I have created over 40 of these small reliefs since beginning the series in 2004 and they have found their way into many corporate and residential collections. I’m always pleased to see a grouping of these squares because they present viewers with a sort of light hearted look at my journal entries on the composition and design process.
