In August of 2017 I completed “SIGHTS AND SOUNDS” a large pictorial relief sculpture commissioned by the Utah Public Art Program for the gymnasium of the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind.

It was an interesting project on many levels – I met some wonderful people on the staff of the school, I learned a little bit of ASL (American Sign Language), I learned a little bit of Braille lettering and I learned it takes a lot of time to complete a work over 93 feet long. But installation was finished on the last available day before the opening day of the 2017-18 school year, and the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind and I are both glad for that.
